Rabbi Elisha Mandel
Rabbi of the Aish Richmond Hill Zarrinnia Family Synagogue and Learning Centre Elisha is the son of Rabbi and Mrs. Mitch Mandel, one of the co-founders of Aish Toronto and its executive director. He is an "Aish kid", so to speak, and grew up in a home that embraced spiritual growth for others as a "family mission" and thus has been involved in Jewish outreach all his life. Elisha's warm, caring and personable manner appeals across demographics and, as Rabbi of the Aish Richmond Hill Zarrinnia Family Synagogue and Learning Centre, he has been instrumental in increasing and diversifying membership, building programming and leading the greater Richmond Hill/Maple and Northern Toronto community into an exciting new stage of development. With a proposed 13,000 square foot soon to be constructed, the Mandel’s will have a permanent home and base with which to initiate a grassroots movement of Jewish renaissance in Northern Toronto. As well as teaching classes and running programming, Elisha is available for one-on-one counseling to his shul members and life-cycle events.
